The Community of Tiv Students, CTS, has commended Governor Samuel Ortom for his steadfastness in defending his people.
The association made the commendation today at the Benue Peoples House Makurdi during a courtesy call on the Governor and presentation of new exco.

Responding, Governor Ortom advised the students against social vices and other acts that could affect their education negatively.
He said the desire of every parent was to have his ward excel in academics, stressing that those in leadership positions should not bury themselves in unionism and forget their studies.
The Governor tasked the new leadership on exemplary leadership that accommodates the interest of members, saying, taking the interest of the led above personal gains was what made Benue people to stand by him through the enactment and implementation of the ranching law.
In a remark, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Students Affairs, Mr. Abraham Jabi, advised the students against being used by self seeking politicians to cause unrest in the society.
