TRIBUNAL JUDGMENT IS VICTORY FOR BENUE – ORTOM
Minister of State, Industry, Trade and Investment, Chief Dr Samuel Ortom, has disclosed that the Almighty God who lifted him from being a tout at the Gboko park through various opportunities of service to his present position was also capable of elevating him to be Governor of Benue State.
Chief Dr Ortom who also supervises the Aviation Ministry made the disclosure at the New Word of Life Church, Agedam in Gboko at the weekend where Concerned Ministers Prayer Network hosted him.
He maintained that the God he served was capable of turning even those who were opposed to his ambition at the moment into his ardent supporters when it mattered most.
Chief Dr. Ortom who alluded to portions of the Bible which state that when the ways of a man please God He turns his enemies into his friends requested prayers for God to help him to remain faithful.
He appealed to his supporters not to be antagonistic to those opposed to his dream of becoming Governor in 2015 on the ticket of the Peoples Democratic Party pointing out that power belonged to God and He gives it to whosoever it pleased Him.
The Minister pledged to govern with the fear of God which he said implied transparency, justice, accountability, fairness, humility, forgiveness and reconciliation which he maintained would usher in peace unity and progress, if given the mandate.
The Pentecostal Ministers stated that although they belonged to diverse political persuasions they were united in supporting and praying for Chief Dr Ortom to become Governor because they were convinced that he would promote righteousness and the fear of God in the land.
The ministers led by Bishop Joe Ichull prayed for God to grant Chief Dr Ortom success in the pursuit of his aspirations.
