NIGERIA AT 59: ORTOM CALLS FOR GREATER FAITH, PATRIOTISM
Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom commiserates with families of those who died in an accident near Unguwan Ciyawa in Eggon Local Government Area of Nasarawa State on their way to Makurdi yesterday.
The Governor describes the incident as painful and says the tragedy is a sad moment for the entire state.
He directs the State Ministry of Works and Transport to liaise with the Federal Road Safety Corps and the Management of Benue Links Nigeria Limited which bus was involved in the unfortunate accident to ensure that the survivors are given urgent attention, while the bodies of those who died are properly deposited in the mortuary.
Governor Ortom also gives assurance that the State Government will support the treatment of the survivors and assist the bereaved families to bury their loved ones.
He prays God to grant the victims eternal rest.
