He gave the assurance at a meeting with local government coordinators, directors, advisers, and elders of his campaign organization in Makurdi yesterday.
The former Minister of State, Industry, Trade, and Investment, said from an analysis of the preliminary list of delegates who emerged in the last ward congresses he was the preferred choice of most delegates.
Chief Dr Ortom said he had played politics with most politicians in the state for decades and had earned their confidence.
The aspirant said he had taken up complaints which arose from the exercise from supporters across the state with the leadership of the party and expressed hope that the issues would be resolved amicably.
According to him some of the delegates and other major stakeholders who had pledged support for his aspiration had listed his God fearing nature, long standing experience in politics, exposure and service at all levels of government as well as contributions to the economic development of the state as the basis for their support.
The former Minister said the politicians told him that having fought and defeated poverty in his life they wanted him to replicate the feat for the entire state.
He however noted that power belonged to God who he said crowned using the people maintaining that he looked to Him for ultimate victory.
The former Minister of State said the challenges of the times call for concerted prayers for the leadership of the party especially Governor Suswam and other party leaders in the state as they grapple with them.
Chief Dr Ortom reiterated the injunction of the Bible that Christians should pray for their leaders who he said were contending with principalities and powers of darkness at all times rather than criticizing them.
He said he would embark on consultations with delegates across all the local governments in the state maintaining that he was sure of victory at the end of the day.
The aspirant stressed that challenges were platforms for testimonies and urged the coordinators, directors, advisers and elders to redouble efforts to win the support of delegates.
