The family produced two members of the Benue State executive council in the person’s of J T himself and Dr David Orkar of the University of Agriculture, Makurdi.The celebrant disclosed that they were 12 children of one father and mother, eight males and four females.He said as at today there are six survivors, four males and two females.
Kpamor J T Orkar stated that the deceased include the revolutionary Major Gideon Gwaza Orkar.
According to his testimony he met his wife at NKST Uavande when he went to deliver a letter a friend of his sent him to deliver to his fiancé.
He gave tribute to his late father who he said was a devout Christian and educationist who gave him the inspiration to be a prolific writer.
The former commissioner who served in the Aper Aku administration expressed appreciation to God for his blessings on his family adding that he had attained the age of 74 while his wife was 72 adding that they were blessed with numerous children and grandchildren.Kpamor Orkar is the author of dozens of books most of them written in the Tiv language.Chief Dr Ortom, Professor David Ker, Chief Simon Shango and other dignitaries who spoke described the celebrant as a principled politician, a role model, and an exemplary leader.
