Governor Samuel Ortom has restated commitment towards implementation of the five point agenda of his administration.
He gave the assurance when a delegation of course 24 of the National Defence College, Abuja led by Brigadier General John Enenche paid him a courtesy call at the Old Banquet Hall of the Benue People’s House in Makurdi.
Governor Ortom stated that the five pillars of the administration include good governance and revenue security, agriculture-driven industrialization, science-based education and health services, investment in critical infrastructure as well as focus on gender, women, youths, sports and people with disabilities.
He assured that his administration was also committed to the entrenchment of core values that would enable the people of the state to have value for voting him into office.
Governor Ortom restated resolve to establish a civil airport in Makurdi to enhance commercial and export activities, saying he would create an enabling environment to boost private investment in the state especially in the exploitation of areas where it has comparative and competitive advantages.
He described the study as value addition to the state, and thanked the Nigerian Military for choosing Benue for this year’s program while assuring of support and cooperation to enable the officers carry out their assignment.
Earlier, team leader, Brigadier General Enenche said they were in the state for their annual study tour and expressed gratitude to the Governor for the warm reception accorded them.
He disclosed that Benue was chosen this year for the study tour due to the administration’s favorable disposition to programs that could add value to the state in particular and country in general.
