The Minister of State, Industry, Trade and Investment and Supervising Aviation Minister, Chief Dr. Samuel Ortom, felicitates with all Nigerians, particularly the people of Benue State on the celebration of Nigeria’s 15th Democracy Day.
Chief Dr. Ortom salutes all the major stakeholders in the nation’s democracy project for sustaining civil rule for the longest period so far in Nigeria’s history.
He felicitates with President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, Vice President Namadi Sambo, Senate President David Mark as well as National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu, for standing out as beacons of this landmark achievement.
The Minister who is a governorship aspirant in Benue State on the platform of the PDP also congratulates Governor Gabriel Suswam on the occasion as well as his multiple and final victory over his opponent in the 2011 Governorship Election at the Supreme Court.
Chief Dr. Ortom celebrates with the State Deputy Governor, Chief Steve Lawani, the Speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly, Hon Terhile Ayua, as well as State PDP Chairman, Dr. Agbo Emmanuel, for being pillars of democracy in the state.
He congratulates Nigerians and the good people of Benue State and wishes them sustained democracy dividends as they continue to keep faith with the PDP.
The Minister prays that the good Lord would comfort those who mourn on account of losses inflicted by various crises across the country, generally and Benue State in particular, and also enable the state and nation to surmount the current security and other challenges.
