Former Benue State Youth Director of the Professor Steve Ugbah Governorship Organization on the platform of the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, Mr Dan Nyikwagh who recently rejoined the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has collapsed his former structures into the Ortom Governorship Organization.
Mr. Nyikwagh made the announcement when he led former youth coordinators of the erstwhile campaign organization across the state to pay a courtesy call on Chief Dr Samuel Ortom at his Makurdi residence.
Members of his delegation who spoke including himself and others from the three senatorial districts of the state said from his antecedents they were convinced that the Minister of State for Industry, Trade and Investment was capable of bringing the necessary positive change in the state if given the mandate in 2015.
Messrs Harrison Ogbu, Jacob Nevkaa, and Gabriel Agbinda, who spoke for zones C, B and A respectively, were unanimous that Chief Ortom had invested heavily in youth development through the Oracle conglomerate such that the youths had the duty to support him to do more.
In his response Chief Dr Ortom expressed appreciation for the visit which he said was unsolicited.
He stated that God had endowed every individual with unique talents which are complementary to one another and pledged to harness all talents in the state so that the people can collectively confront challenges.
According to Chief Dr Ortom who is seeking the mandate on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, he would bring the fear of God to bear on governance in the state such that there would be transparency, justice, accountability, accessibility, selflessness, forgiveness and reconciliation which he said shall usher in unity, peace and development.
He pledged that as governor he would seek to add value on all sectors particularly things that can provide jobs, wealth and opportunities especially in the processing of primary farm produce while encouraging private sector entrepreneurship.
