Governorship aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Benue State, Chief Dr Samuel Ortom, has expressed appreciation to all the stakeholders across the state who accorded him warm reception during his recent consultative tour.
He thanked God for the protection over him and his entourage as well as giving him the capacity to go round.The Minister of State, Industry, Trade and Investment also commended the State Governor, Dr Gabriel Suswam, for ensuring peaceful coexistence as well as a level field for all aspirants in the state.
Chief Dr Ortom thanked traditional rulers, PDP chieftains, the party’s executives at the ward, local government, and state levels, for the sacrifices they made in receiving him.
He also appreciated serving and former National and State Assembly members, council chairmen and other officials as well as associations, unions, students, groups, women and youths who turned out in large numbers to receive him.The Minister stated that he was also grateful to members of his governorship organization, his entourage, drivers, security operatives and entertainers.
The Supervising Aviation Minister expressed delight that media practitioners accompanied him and reported the tour positively.He said he was overwhelmed with the goodwill, love, and warmth accorded him as demonstrated through testimonies, entertainment and gifts given to him and his wife.
A statement by the Media Adviser, Ortom Governorship Organization, Mr. Tahav Agerzua, quoted Chief Dr Ortom as praying that the Almighty God would reward everyone for the sacrifice and investment made in his governorship project. According to the statement the Minister apologized for the inconvenience his long convoy caused commuters during the outings and pledged a better organization in the future.
He said he was open to advice, suggestions and adjustments on how best he could realize his commitment to the dream of moving a united Benue to the next level.
