Governor Samuel Ortom today revealed the joy and blessings that come with the adoption of children and provision of succour for the less privileged.
He spoke at the Redeemed Christian Church of God Signs and Wonders Mega Parish Makurdi during a Special Sunday Service for the Dedication of his adopted Children; Divine Nadoo Ortom, Promise Terseer Ortom and Adorable Dooshima Ortom.
The Governor stated that he and his wife adopted a baby girl three years ago and she had been a source of joy to the family, stressing that they thought it wise to multiply the joy by adopting more children.
He said the three children were brought to them one year ago because of their love for humanitarian services and urged capable individuals to visit orphanage homes as well as IDP camps and replicate same, saying they would never regret doing so.
The Governor prayed God to give him and his wife the grace to nurture the children to His glory.
On her part, wife of the Governor, Dr. Mrs. Eunice Ortom, who described children as wonderful gifts from God prayed that the adopted children live to be a source of joy and blessings to the family.
In a sermon, Provincial Pastor in charge of Signs and Wonders Mega Parish, RCCG, Makurdi, Folashanyo Aderemi, who preached on the theme: “Peace like a River,” said peace was necessary for all, adding that people must pray for sustained peace.
