Stalwarts of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Sankera geopolitical axis and Buruku local government area have donated offices to the Ortom Governorship Organization in Katsina Ala and Tyowanye.
This was revealed when Chief Dr Ortom inaugurated three of such offices last weekend in the two towns.
The Stalwarts include member of the House of Representatives for Katsina-Ala/Ukum/Logo constituency, Barrister Emmanuel Udende, member of the Benue State House of Assembly, Mrs Hembadoon Amena, former member of the Benue State Executive Council, Dr Benjamin Ashaver, Chief Mrs Comfort Akile, as well as Mr Ate Orbiam.
They supported youth groups to establish the offices.
Coordinator of Ortom Governorship Organization in Katsina Ala, Mr. Francis Tsav, President of Zone A Central Youths for Ortom, Mr. Levi Wombo, and that of Nyamatsor Youths, Mr Joseph Ieren, stated at the inauguration of the offices that the Minister of State, Industry, Trade and Investment would win the race.
According to the speakers they chose to support Chief Dr Ortom for the PDP primaries and general election after an assessment of all governorship aspirants revealed that he towered above all in several aspects.
“The assessment revealed that the performance of Chief Dr Ortom as Guma chairman, party administrator at the state and federal levels as well as Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria had equipped him with the capacity to be Governor,” Mr Wombo stated.
“Worthy of note is his huge contributions in the industrial sector through the Oracle conglomerate which has employed hundreds of Benue citizens thus reducing unemployment and creating wealth,if given the opportunity he will will certainly do more in the state.”
The youths pledged to spread the Ortom message to the grassroots.
In his responses in Katsina Ala and Tyowanye, Chief Dr. Ortom stated that he was the ideal candidate of the people of the state, including Governor Gabriel Suswam, who desire that the next Governor should be an experienced politician with connections at all levels and above all a God-fearing person.
The Minister assured that he was conversant with the aspirations of the people having been raised from humble beginnings assuring that if given the mandate he would deploy his wealth of experience to mobilize the people for rapid transformation of the state in all sectors with special attention on industrialization.
He expressed appreciation for the support saying those who have made sacrifices for the project have sown on good soil that would produce bountiful harvest.
